I'm Melanie!
Color specialist, who has a soft spot for grey coverage, and all the ways you can cover or enhance what you have.
I'm a smartass coffee and tea lover (okay...worshipper!), who loves travel of any kind, nerdy sci-fi movies, sometimes snorts when I laugh, and is a proud, often embarrassing, mom to a 16 year old junior smartass!
My favorite thing about being a hairstylist has always been the chance to give someone that moment. You know the one. When they look in the mirror and love their hair!
From trying a new color, to learning ways to style your hair when you've hit the snooze button one too many times, my aim is to make your hair the easiest part of your day.
I grew up on the central coast of California, and my love of hair began at an early age.
One of my first clients, aside from my dolls, was my very patient Grandfather, who let me put pink foam rollers in his hair!
I have wanted to be a hairdresser since I was little, but never as much as when I found that first grey hair at seventeen! I quickly realized that pulling them wasn't going to end well, so after a quick detour into accounting (it didn't last long!), I was off to beauty school.
That was over twenty years ago....
Now, when I'm not making lists of all the places I'd like to travel to, or cheering on my favorite football/soccer/hockey teams, I'm learning new techniques, and refining my own. That's my passion, and I look forward to the opportunity to share that, and help you find that moment when you look in the mirror and love your hair!
